I have a TCMS blog list that needed 'just one more field' and thanks to the brilliance of Scott G Williams (TCMS Hacker Extraordinaire) I was able to gain one with ease.
If you have a binary choice within your blog form, you can just make it the Archived toggle and free up some other field like Labels or Author.
I had a Select Author field set to be either US or International and was able to convert it to the Archived toggle to then use Author for the extra field I needed.
