Wordpress security rule change causing a status 403 error in a contact form

Last night I moved a website onto my favourite hosting company's servers and after the transfer had completed I found that the contact form was no longer working. After a couple of hours of head scratching I decided to ring my contact Martin Woodhouse at Allsimple.net and half an hour later he came back with the answer. A security rule had been implemented that denied access to part of the Foundation 6 form's processing even though the permissions looked to be valid. This security rule was supposed to protect Wordpress sites but like a previous issue I encountered with a similar Wordpress security rule it had unexpected consequences for the rest of us.

So my reason for posting this is in case it happens to someone else. If you find that a contact form is flagging a problem, you can't see anything obviously wrong and you see this status 403 error message or something similar in the Javascript console then its probably worth talking to your hosting company to see what they've done.

All is fine now thank to the amazing support I get at Allsimple.net
