I hit a major milestone today: I’ve finally sent out a Weaver Bites newsletter within a week! 😆 I was determined to get one out this week since I’ll be out of town for a long weekend starting Thursday. I’ll be in Denver until Sunday.
Today, I continued the 2025 update marathon and released four more updates. While none of them were groundbreaking, every little fix and feature adds up!
Let’s dive into some great posts from the past week…
In case you missed it, check out my 2025 Updates Summary Live Stream. I showcased all the new features I shipped in free updates this month.
Compass 2 is this week's Deal of the Week. Save 40% until the end of the week!
Chris discovered the actual Church of Total CMS! This gave me a good chuckle… 🤣
Jim, a Foundry 3 user, was looking for help implementing the Sitemap. I’m not a Foundry user, so I wasn’t sure about this feature. If you have experience, please chime in! It's unfortunate that all of the Foundry and Allow documentation has been removed online. The entire YouTube channel has been cleared of videos as well. I am sorry that this happened. 😔
Derek was curious about importing Amazon Reviews onto his website. I’ve been thinking about creating a Reviews Pack for Feeds. Does that interest anyone?
While helping with a couple of posts this week, I updated my htaccess Rules for Every Site FAQ. There are some great new snippets in there if you need them.
Gabor has been working on a new layout for his site, and after a lot of effort, he created a beautiful layout with Bento. Amazing job, Gabor!
I showed off the progress on Pi 2 during last week’s hangout. The stack is mostly done. I’m hoping to push hard before I leave for Denver so I can at least finish the stack. I’ll save the marketing and video creation for next week. If I make enough progress tonight and tomorrow, I might do a small pre-release to the community. Keep an eye out for an announcement post if that happens. Maybe this week's live stream will cover the update as well.
Small woodworking update
Earlier this month, a good friend helped me upgrade the electrical system in my shop. My entire garage was running off one outlet before! Now I have five separate circuits, two of which are 220v. This gives me a lot of room to grow. My first step was installing a better dust collection system. I’ve pieced together a pretty powerful setup. While it’s not my dream system, it’s going to be awesome. I’ll post some pics in the Community post for this newsletter.
The kitchen is finally almost done as well! I just need to finish some trim work and touch up the paint. I’ve been dragging my heels a bit since it’s 99% done, and it’s always more fun to start new projects. I’m sure Total CMS users can relate to that! 😅 I’ll post a pic of the current status of the kitchen if you’d like to see it.
That’s enough from me for now. I hope you have an amazing week. Go out there and build something great!
Cheers,
Joe
