Stacks Pro / RapidWeaver Elements FAQ

I thought that I would list out some common questions that I have seen asked about Stacks Pro and RapidWeaver Elements.

YourHead FAQs

Isaiah has put up a list of FAQs as well. you can read them here...

Will my stacks work in RW Elements?

None of the Weaver's Space stacks will work in RapidWeaver Elements. All of my stacks require the use of Stacks. This means that you can use RW8 and Stacks 5 or you will be able to use Stacks Pro standalone app). I do not currently have plans to support RapidWeaver Elements.

Weavers Space stacks will be optimized for Stacks Pro. This opens a whole new world of new capabilities. I can't wait to get them in your hands!

Will all of my existing stacks work in Stacks Pro?

Yes! Every single one of your stacks that you use today will keep working when you migrate to Stacks Pro

Will I need to repurchase any stacks to work in Stacks Pro?

No. All of the stacks that you own today will work seamlessly in Stacks Pro when it launches.

Will I be able to import my project file into Stacks Pro?

YourHead is committed to support the migration of your existing project files. Because Stacks Pro will be an all new app, there may be a few minor differences. However, all of your Stacks based pages should be remain fully intact.

Can I continue to use RW8 + Stacks 5?

As of right now, Stacks Pro and RapidWeaver Elements have not even shipped a beta version yet. So we still have a while. However, you should continue enjoying your current setup with RW8 and S5. The current versions will continue to work well after Stacks Pro and RW Elements ship. We will continue to support RW8 and RW Classic customers for a long time.

Can I do anything to prepare for the move?

There is nothing for you to do at this time. Just keep making great stuff with RW8 and Stacks 5.

Where can I ask more questions and get support?

I recommend that you keep posting on this WS community. I will be unable to help you if you post on the Realmac Community. Posts from my account are automatically moderated and all of my recent posts have been deleted. So just keep posting here and we will gladly help you.
