Do we have any security experts out there that can definitively answer a simple question for me: Can the Conflicker malware worm infect an Apache server? I ask because it's been brought to my attention that one of my sites is supposedly infected. The security team that reported it to our IT dept. works for a Fortune 250 company, so I would think they have the resources behind them to know (the site is one I created for a company that partners with the Fortune 250 company). The server is a fully managed dedicated VPS (so only my files are on the server, it's not shared) and the DreamHost techs checked last night and report that they could find "no evidence of the website being compromised." From what I read this morning, Conflicker infects windows servers, not apache. Thanks for any thoughts you may have.
