For one of my clients, I'd like to set up a file sharing on the website, where people with the right access permissions (page permissions managed with Sitelok) can upload and download large files (files of a couple of GB's).
After discussion with Adrian from Vibralogix and with the support desk of my hosting provider, it would appear that a solution through a PHP-script is not feasible (the hosting service is not on a dedicated server, and the max allowed on the server side is 256 MB per file, also there's a time-out limit of max 300 seconds on the PHP-processes). The Userfiles plug-in for Sitelok is tied to the maximum settings on the server side, so there's no solution there either.
Does anyone have tips on how to approach this while avoiding deviating the process to a paying third party (e.g. WeTransfer, ...)?
