I'm new here, I hope i'm doing things right.
I've just purchased TextDrop and Footnotes, and when I tried and install them, I've got the message "At least one addon is older or the same version as the one already installed." and nothing happens then.
I run RW8 and Stacks 4, which works perfectly for me. I'm reluctant to jump to the subscription version of RW (9), and I'm not keen on the idea to always have to buy newer versions of everything.
I have some questions and thoughts, and would enjoy to hear what the community here thinks.
- Is it insane to stick with RW8 ? Am I the only one to be disturbed by the almost necessity to always buy more and more ?
- Is there a way to change on my side something in these two addons (footnotes and textdrop) in order to have them work with my setup (RW8 and Stacks 4) ? Or to access to compatible ones somewhere else ?
- Is there a way to check, on the weavers's space, before purchasing, what the requirements for an addon are ? I had looked up, but I hadn't seen anything so I thought that it meant "no restriction regarding the setup"
