Over the past week, I reached out to some of the most active and experienced members of the Weaver’s Space community and asked them a simple question:
“If you had to pick your Top 10 stacks, what would they be?”
This wasn’t just a popularity contest — I wanted to see what tools our users actually rely on in their real-world projects. Some people stuck to exactly 10, others couldn’t resist giving me a bit more (you know who you are 😄).

The “Must-Haves”
After compiling the results, a handful of stacks appeared on every single list. We’re calling these the must-haves — the stacks that are in practically every serious WS user’s toolkit:
Foundation 6 – The backbone of so many WS sites.
Total CMS – Flexible, powerful content management. Both v1 and v3 showed up on the list.
Starter Pack – This came up mostly because of 2 stacks: Pen and Folder
Swatch Pack – The ultimate companion to Foundation 6.
SEO Helper – Simple, effective SEO optimization.
If you don’t have these yet, you’re missing out on what most of your peers consider “essentials.”

The Next Most-Loved Stacks
Once we removed the “must-haves,” we could rank the rest by how often they appeared. Here’s the breakdown:
Impact – Stunning hero banners and slideshows.
MovingBox – Powerful and versatile slider
Agent – Multi-Language site and server content Swiss Army Knife
PageSafe – Simple, secure page protection.
Feeds – Pull in dynamic, external content.
Bento – Build organized, stylish content grids.
Eclipse – Beautiful background videos and slideshows.
Raincheck – Lazy load any content for faster page loads
SqueezeBox – The accordion stack people actually love to use.
Pi – Smart calculations and interactive forms.
PWA Pro – Turn your site into a Progressive Web App.
Tardis – Time-based content display.
Target – Position your content exactly where you want
Offsite – Easily embed other webpages
Cookie Jar – Handle cookie management and permissions.
Photo Pro – A gallery stack built for photographers.

Spotlight: Adam Jackson’s Picks
One reply stood out because it wasn’t just a list — it was a story. Adam Jackson shared the thought process behind his selections and how he uses them in real-world projects. I wanted to put his full post here.
Note: Please forgive some of his misspelling. His country does not like "zed" and colors much. 🤣
Joe asked me to pick my Top 10 Weaver’s Space stacks. Not easy, but here goes. To keep it simple, I’ve stuck with stacks that are currently in use on our site.
I’m not a developer, so ease of use is essential.
Foundation 6
I was a committed Foundry user. When I first tried F6 as a free upgrade from Foundation 1, I absolutely hated it. Swatches made sense in theory, but I couldn’t get my head round them. After Adam decided to close Elixir last year, I needed to be sure I could still update our site, so I picked F6 up again.
The penny dropped when I realised I could set borders, rounding, backgrounds, shadows, font colours, etc., give them the same class name, and then just apply that class where needed. Now I absolutely love it — and I’m still learning.
Swatch Pack
An absolute must-have with F6. I use Text transformations, Animations, Underscore, and the Z-Index swatch (a lifesaver for galleries, buttons, menus and popups). Equalizer is a must, too.
Starter Pack
Pen and Folder are all over our project file partials. Keeping everything organised and documented keeps my OCD happy. 100% worth it — and unbeatable value.
Photo Pro
As a professional photographer, I’ve tried all the gallery stacks. Photo Pro is the closest to perfect for our needs. (A couple of feature requests are on hold until TCMS3 is out of Beta.)
Call to Action
Want to greet visitors after 5 unique visits? Pop up a sign-up form on exit? Show something once, then not again for 15 days? Easy with CTA.
Slot Machine 4
If you see a lone image on our site, it’s probably Random Image from SM4 — it changes every visit.
Feeds
Our testimonials live in a JSON file. Feeds randomly serves three of them on some pages. So many future uses for this.
Tardis
Great for seasonal content. I use Tardis Helpers to keep copyright dates current, and even pop up a CTA saying “Welcome back, and Happy Tuesday!”.
Squeezebox 3
I hate accordions. They usually scroll your content out of sight. SB3 fixes that, and it’s the only accordion stack I actually like. Had it running on our FAQ page in under 30 minutes.
SEO Helper
Not glamorous, but essential. A simple way to appease the Google overlords.
Bonus picks
Impact – Hero banner slideshow with centered overlay content that hides on scroll and returns on a new session? Yes please.
Total CMS 3 – As a former heavy Alloy user, I’m loving the ability to import posts, embeds and droplets. I expect this will move up my list quickly.
One of the things I love with Joe’s stacks is how well they integrate with F6, Swatches — and soon, TCMS3.
That’s my top 10(ish). Subject to change… probably after the next sale.
Adam.
